How to choose a pillow that fits how you sleep
The right pillow keeps your head level with your spine. That means the loft you need depends on your sleep position and shoulder width. Side sleepers need the tallest pillow to fill the gap between ear and mattress. Back sleepers need medium loft with support under the neck. Stomach sleepers need something low and soft, or no pillow at all.

What is the best pillow for side sleepers?
Side sleepers need a tall, supportive pillow that fills the space between the shoulder and the head. The 7 inch high profile Talalay Latex Pillow does this well, and the shoulder cutout version lets your shoulder tuck under the pillow for an even better fit. The Adjustable Pillow also works; just leave it fully stuffed.
Latex or memory foam pillow, which should I choose?
Choose Talalay latex if you want a pillow that keeps its shape, sleeps cool, and feels springy and supportive. Choose the shredded memory foam Adjustable Pillow if you want to fine-tune the loft, prefer a moldable feel, or have never found a fixed-height pillow that fits. Both are made in our Phoenix factory and covered by the same trial.
Can I wash a LOUNJ pillow?
You can machine wash the removable cover on any LOUNJ pillow. The foam itself, whether molded latex or shredded memory foam, should be spot cleaned with mild soap and water and air dried. Do not put foam in a washing machine or dryer, as it can tear and heat can damage it. Use a pillow protector to keep the foam clean longer.
What sizes do LOUNJ pillows come in?
Talalay latex pillows are available in Queen 16×29 and King 16×35, in a 5.5 inch low profile or a 7 inch high profile. The Adjustable Pillow is available in Queen 18×29 and King 18×35. All fit standard queen and king pillowcases. The Body Pillow is a single long size for full-length support.
Do memory foam pillows have a smell?
New foam can have a faint scent when first unpacked. LOUNJ foam is CertiPUR-US certified for low emissions and is sun-baked in Arizona before it ships, so odor is minimal and fades within a day or two of airing out. Fluffing a shredded foam pillow a few times helps the clusters separate and any scent dissipate.
