A standard twin mattress is 38 x 75 inches (some are labeled 39 x 75; the inch does not matter under a fitted sheet). It is the size in most kids’ rooms, bunk beds, daybeds, and trundles. The size it gets confused with is Twin XL, which is 38 x 80 and used in dorms and on split king bases. Five inches is enough to matter, so measure the mattress head to foot before ordering. If it is 80 inches, you want our Twin XL topper.

What size is a twin mattress topper?
Our twin toppers are 38 x 75 inches, matching a standard twin mattress. Some mattresses are sold as 39 x 75; the difference is not noticeable under a fitted sheet. If your mattress is 80 inches long, order a Twin XL instead.
Will a twin mattress topper fit a Twin XL bed?
It will fit in width but come up 5 inches short in length, leaving a bare strip at the foot. Twin XL mattresses are 80 inches long. Measure head to foot; if it is 80, order the Twin XL topper.
What thickness twin topper is best for a child?

Is a twin topper safe for a bunk bed?
