Latex toppers are currently made to order; request a quote and we will reply within 1 to 2 business days.

Why Talalay latex feels different

Talalay latex is whipped, frozen, and vulcanized in a mold, which produces a consistent open-cell foam that is lighter and more breathable than Dunlop latex. The result is a topper that lifts you rather than swallowing you. Pressure points still get relief, but you stay on top of the surface, can change position easily, and do not build up heat the way you can on memory foam.

It is also naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites and mold. LOUNJ Talalay is Oeko-Tex certified, so it has been tested for harmful substances. If you have tried memory foam and found it too slow or too warm, or you simply want a springier surface, a Talalay latex topper is the upgrade to try.

Choosing thickness and firmness

We offer two thicknesses and two firmness levels. A 2 inch topper refines a mattress that is nearly right, adding a responsive cushion without changing the overall support. A 3 inch topper makes a bigger difference on a firm bed and is the better choice for side sleepers and heavier sleepers.

24 ILD is the softer option, best for side sleepers and anyone who wants noticeable pressure relief at the shoulders and hips. 28 ILD is medium, a good all-around feel for back sleepers, combination sleepers, and couples. If you are unsure, most first-time latex buyers are happiest with 3 inches in 28 ILD on a firm mattress, or 2 inches in 24 ILD on a medium one. Tell us how you sleep when you request a quote and we will recommend a combination.

How ordering works and why LOUNJ

Talalay latex toppers are made to order right now, so there is no stock SKU to add to a cart. Head to our custom mattress topper page, enter your dimensions (standard sizes from Twin to Cal King, RV sizes, or any rectangle up to 80×84 inches in half-inch increments), pick 2 or 3 inches and 24 or 28 ILD, and note whether you want a cover. You will have a quote in 1 to 2 business days.

LOUNJ is a family-owned foam factory in Phoenix, in business since 2018. Ordering direct from the factory means no middleman markup, free FedEx Ground shipping to the lower 48, and the same 30-Night Happiness Guarantee and 5-year warranty that cover our memory foam toppers. Questions about talalay latex mattress toppers

What is the difference between Talalay and Dunlop latex?

Both start as Talalay latex, but Talalay is vacuum-sealed, frozen, and then vulcanized, which gives it a more open, consistent cell structure. Talalay feels lighter, springier, and more breathable, and it is more uniform from top to bottom. Dunlop is denser and firmer. For a topper, where comfort and airflow matter most, Talalay is the better material.

Should I choose 24 ILD or 28 ILD?

ILD measures how much force it takes to compress the latex. 24 ILD is softer and suits side sleepers or anyone who wants extra cushioning. 28 ILD is medium and works for back sleepers, combination sleepers, and couples who want support with some give. Heavier sleepers usually prefer 28 ILD so they do not bottom out.

Does a latex mattress topper sleep cool?

Yes. Talalay latex has an open-cell structure with thousands of tiny air channels, and because it does not contour as deeply as memory foam, less of your body is wrapped by the surface. Heat escapes instead of building up. Talalay is the coolest-sleeping topper material LOUNJ offers.

Why are latex toppers sold by quote?

We are currently cutting Talalay latex toppers to order rather than stocking finished SKUs. That lets you pick the exact size, thickness, and ILD you want, including RV and custom rectangles, without paying for inventory we would have to hold. Submit your specs on the custom topper page and we will reply with a quote within 1 to 2 business days.

Is Talalay latex safe for people with latex allergies?

Talalay latex is washed extensively during manufacturing, which removes most of the proteins associated with latex allergies, and it is Oeko-Tex certified. Many people with mild sensitivities use latex bedding without issue. If you have a diagnosed latex allergy, please consult your doctor before buying, or consider our gel memory foam toppers instead.

How long does a Talalay latex topper last?

Latex is one of the most durable bedding materials. A Talalay topper typically outlasts a memory foam topper of the same thickness and resists body impressions well. LOUNJ backs every latex topper with a 5-year warranty and a 30-night sleep trial with free returns, so you can try it with no risk.
